Gradually, this big African country is climbing out of a dark past
and
showing up among respectable nations. Democratic rule has
survived a few years now,
inflation is less horrific than before, its role in Opec
and in its region is steady.
But there is a lot more to do and there seems to be the initiative
to keep on course.
